Each evaluation is structured around the referral question and may include clinical interview, psychological and neuropsychological testing, record review, collateral interviews, symptom validity testing, performance validity testing, and integration of relevant medical, legal, educational, occupational, or functional information.
All evaluations are conducted in person using standardized, research‑supported psychological and neuropsychological testing instruments.
Midwest Evaluations approaches each case as a clinical investigation. The goal is not to advocate for a predetermined outcome, but to provide objective, defensible, and practically useful conclusions based on the available data.
What We Deliver
Reports are designed to be clear, timely, and issue-focused. When relevant, reports distinguish among neurologic, psychiatric, developmental, substance-related, situational, functional, and motivational contributors to impairment. Opinions are written in language that can be understood by referral sources, attorneys, courts, healthcare providers, agencies, and families.

All services are self‑pay. We do not bill insurance.
Where We Serve
Midwest Evaluations LLC is based in Bolivar, Missouri and provides in-person evaluations across Missouri and neighboring regions.
Dr. Coffman also holds Temporary Authorization to Practice (TAP) through PSYPACT, allowing practice in participating PSYPACT jurisdictions in accordance with compact regulations.

Meet Dr. Coffman
Robert L Coffman, PsyD
Robert L. Coffman, PsyD, is a clinical and forensic neuropsychologist. He is the owner of Midwest Evaluations LLC. He also practices as a full-time neuropsychologist at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri, where he has conducted more than 1,100 psychological and neuropsychological evaluations as of 2025. Dr. Coffman completed his predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residency at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center. His training included neuropsychology, traumatic brain injury, PTSD assessment and treatment, health psychology, primary care consultation, operational psychology, and forensic evaluation.
Dr. Coffman previously served as a commissioned officer and combat/operational psychologist in the United States Army, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan with the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. His background in neuropsychology, forensic assessment, medical consultation, and operational psychology informs a disciplined, objective, and methodical approach to evaluation. His background provided extensive experience in psychological assessment, consultation, risk management, crisis response, operational readiness, multidisciplinary collaboration, and decision-making in high-demand environments.
Dr. Coffman approaches each evaluation as a structured clinical investigation. The goal is to clarify the question, identify the relevant data, assess validity, distinguish among possible explanations, and provide conclusions that are understandable, practical, and defensible.
